I recently had the pleasure of photographing an engagement session in Wallula Gap at Twin Sisters Rock for someone I’ve actually had a longtime connection with. I met Cooper back in elementary school and he’s also friends with my husband. Such a small world! His lovely fiancée is Regan. It was such a heartwarming experience to be a part of their engagement photoshoot!

The shoot took place at Twin Sisters Rock. It’s a stunning desert location known for its natural beauty created by the historic Missoula flood. Vast rugged landscapes stretch as far as the eye can see, with the Twin Sisters basalt rock formations rising in the background. This Washington engagement photo location is a photographer’s dream. Lots of desert charm and gorgeous views.

Twin Sisters Rock Engagement: Capturing Timeless Love in the Desert

While the spring and early summer months bring out cutie wildflowers, winter shoots are not always ideal due to the cold and windy conditions. But I can say the same for peak summer (unless you hit golden hour) as the Southeast WA region gets TOASTY. My photography approach for this session was to blend Cooper and Regan’s affectionate moments with the rugged beauty of Twin Sisters Rock. I aimed to create a timeless yet playful love story.
