Evelyn and Briton’s Davenport Hotel wedding in Spokane, Washington, was the kind of celebration that reminds you why certain venues become historic. Timeless architecture, a packed dance floor, and a guest list full of people genuinely invested in the day is what made this wedding feel elevated.
This wedding was especially meaningful for me because I’ve photographed three of Evelyn’s close friends’ weddings over the years. Watching this friend group move through so many milestones together, and getting to document each chapter along the way, has been incredibly special. Evelyn and Briton’s wedding felt like the perfect way to close out that season.

The Historic Davenport Hotel remains one of Spokane’s most iconic wedding venues. Between the ornate detailing, grand chandeliers, sweeping ballrooms, and classic architecture, the space naturally lends itself to a refined wedding aesthetic.
The hotel features 18 event rooms and more than 36,000 square feet of event space, giving couples flexibility whether they’re planning an intimate gathering or a large-scale celebration. The Grand Pennington Ballroom alone accommodates up to 620 guests and is so classic.
This Spokane wedding venue works exceptionally well for couples drawn to timeless design, black-tie energy, and a wedding day that feels both polished and welcoming.

Evelyn and Briton leaned fully into a clean, classic aesthetic that matched the venue beautifully. Soft draping, candlelight, timeless florals, and black-tie details created an elegant atmosphere. Nothing about the design felt trend-driven. Instead, the day carried an understated style that will age well, which, in my opinion, is always the goal.
Once the reception started, the dance floor stayed full, and champagne glasses rarely stayed empty. One of the best parts of photographing weddings within longtime friend groups is how naturally connected everyone feels. A historic Spokane venue, timeless style, and a room full of people who clearly adore them made this one an easy favorite.
After photographing multiple weddings within this same group of friends, this celebration felt like the perfect final chapter. It was classy, unforgettable, and an incredible way to close out the season.

“Our wedding at the beautiful Historic Davenport Hotel in Spokane was unforgettable, and Kat made it even more special! The venue’s timeless elegance and grand details were perfectly captured in every single photo. She was so fun and easy to work with from the start—always quick to respond during planning, listened to my inspiration ideas, and helped bring our vision to life!! Our engagement session felt relaxed and joyful, not rushed at all. We were able to go to locations that fit our wedding vibe AND the location where my husband and I met. She made them feel so special and fun.
On the wedding day, she had an amazing eye for the moments that mattered—the candid emotions, the romantic details, and the stunning backdrop of the Davenport. She was efficient and professional, directing poses quickly (especially with the guys who aren’t huge fans of photos!) so everything flowed smoothly without feeling dragged out. We got beautiful sneak peeks soon after, and the full gallery arrived promptly—such a relief! If you’re looking for a photographer who’s creative, personable, a great time, and delivers high-quality images that truly reflect your day, she’s fantastic. Forever grateful for choosing Kat because I get to relive my wedding day with our beautiful photos. Highly recommend!”
