BEHIND THE SCENES

A Spring Washington Winery Wedding

Dane and Bettina’s Washington winery wedding at Terra Blanca was effortless in the best way. Terra Blanca always delivers. Pretty stone walls, moody fall light, and rows of grapevines make you feel like you’re in the Italian countryside rather than Eastern Washington.

It was one of those crisp PNW spring days. The trees were turning, the light was soft, and the vibe was elevated and grounded. The colors leaned warm and earthy, and the energy was electric.

Three Emotional First Look Moments

Bettina’s morning was a slow build of emotions. Before we get to the first look moment, let’s talk about everything leading up to it. Her first look with her dad had everyone holding back tears (not successfully, by the way). Bettina gave him a sweet letter, the kind you don’t forget.

Then came the bridesmaids and her mom, and their reactions were happy tears, and the girl’s girl kind of energy, which we all hope to have. It was pure joy.

And finally, the first look with Dane. Under a tunnel of ivy and stone, he turned around and immediately melted. It was emotional, grounding, and so full of love. It was quiet, intimate, and entirely theirs—exactly the kind of moment that reminds you why all of this matters.

Bettina and Dane’s Washington Winery Wedding Ceremony

The ceremony was set beneath the stone archway at Terra Blanca—a backdrop that honestly doesn’t need much help to be stunning. But this day, it got a glow-up with flowing ivory drapery, warm-toned florals, and eucalyptus everywhere. Candles flickered from gold lanterns on cut wood rounds, pampas grass swayed in the breeze, and the aisle was lined with soft, natural textures.

When Bettina walked in on her father’s arm, the entire space shifted. She looked calm but radiant, like she knew exactly what she was walking toward. Dane looked SO excited!

Sunset Portraits in the Vineyard & Intimate Reception

After the ceremony, Dane and Bettina slipped away into the vineyard for portraits. The clouds rolled in just enough to make things moody (but not too moody), and the whole scene felt straight out of a European estate wedding Pinterest board.

There was a parasol moment that felt part editorial, part “this is actually genius because the sun was low-key intense.” Terra Blanca nailed the setting, but it was Dane and Bettina who made it unforgettable.
